I was trying to figure out what to make for this blog hop I ran across this quote in my journal “friends, the family you choose!” so I chose to create a little something for my chosen family member (read dear friend’s) birthday! While I already mailed her a hand crafted birthday card, but, I wanted a little something extra to give her when we have dinner on Wednesday to officially celebrate her birthday!

I created a portfolio with a cute little belly band, complete with 4 notecard size birthday cards.

The four cards are almost identical and almost monochromatic (smoky slate, silver, whisper white) so that when a card is needed (male or female) my friend can pop one in the mail or put it with her gift!
