Today let’s chat about alternatives… al·ter·na·tive ôlˈtərnədiv adjective 1. (of one or more things) available as another possibility. This morning, like every morning, I get to chose the way I begin the day. So this morning I woke up early (I’m semi-retired… why the heck would I do that?) to walk with a friend. As it turns out, after a recent doctors visit I was given news that I needed to make some changes for my health, so the decision was made to walk. Walking in an of itself is not horrible and couple that with being able to chat...Read More

This weekend, all across the US, people are getting ready for the long weekend. The schools are out (or almost), teachers & students everywhere jump for joy! And the lazy days of summer are upon us. No, not as a presenter, definitely not as an example, but instead as extra set of hands for setup and cleanup. The beauty of this is that I get to listen to a fantastic marriage retreat – for free! TB & I have been married 26.5 years and we attended a similar retreat before we married. Did I listen? Not so much as I knew everything they were talking about – after all I had been married before (that should...Read More
I discovered this on my photo roll on my phone today, created by i believe.com, and I felt compelled to write about the words posted on this particular photo! I would like to say that these words always come to my mind when I find myself struggling, or when I am in pain, but that would not be the truth. I need to be reminded of these words… I have a great forgetter! The thing that I do need to remember is that God does have a purpose for all my pain, a reason for all my struggles, and a reward for my faithfulness! Purpose for my pain? Yep, sometimes...Read More
