alternatives, you decide…

Today let’s chat about alternatives… al·ter·na·tive ôlˈtərnədiv adjective 1. (of one or more things) available as another possibility. This morning, like every morning, I get to chose the way I begin the day. So this morning I woke up early (I’m semi-retired… why the heck would I do that?) to walk with a friend. As it turns out, after a recent doctors visit I was given news that I needed to make some changes for my health, so the decision was made to walk. Walking in an of itself is not horrible and couple that with being able to chat...

attending a marriage retreat…

No, no, no – not us!!! Last Saturday, a dear friend asked me to assist her with an engaged couples at our parish”building your marriage before it starts” retreat. No, not as a presenter, definitely not as an example, but instead as extra set of hands for setup and cleanup. The beauty of this is that I get to listen to a fantastic marriage retreat – for free! purpose, reason, reward…

I discovered this on my photo roll on my phone today, created by i believe.com, and I felt compelled to write about the words posted on this particular photo! day of prayer…

For my fellow Catholics, as January 22nd falls on a Sunday this year, the observance of the National Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children will be observed throughout the United States on Monday, January 23rd. This designation comes from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishop and is stated in the General Instructions of the Roman Missal. Please consider joining me in the comfort of your own home, on the way to work, at lunch, during a break today and pray the rosary for the Legal Protection of the Unborn Children. For those of you who are not Catholic,...

ahhhh the rain…

Wow… I can’t begin to tell you how welcome the sound of the rain was when it began last night. Click the start arrow below to listen to the rain while you read this post (have not yet mastered the auto play). https://karenzbrowning.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Rain-sleep.mp3   While looking for an image to place with my post I found this Bob Marley quote … will you feel the rain or will you just get wet? God is good!!! Thank you God for the rain… may I feel it and not just get wet! Yes, indeed, God is good all the time… even when...
