Tom begins by thanking everyone for supporting Mike Stover & Emily throughout their time at Auburn and for joining us today… blah, blah, blah (not that anything he said was bad… but just let’s go already). A few more words and then…
Tom thanking everyone for joining us, congratulating the graduates, Emily trying not to be the center of attention and Michael looking like he is going to either pass out or throw up… NERVOUS!
… and then, Tom asks Michael if he has anything he would like to say? Michael takes Emily’s hands in his… looks into her eyes… and takes a knee – WHAT??? This is happening here? Now? YES indeed!!!

Well, now let me tell you this… not only was Emily shocked that Michael managed to keep his plan a secret (in fact he told her more than once that it was not going to happen on graduation day because he did not wish to take away the celebration of all her hard work) but she was really surprised when she found out that SHE was the ONLY one that did not know this was going to happen! We did it y’all – Emily had no clue!!!

What a great night, we had so much fun… Mike Stover thanks for sharing your graduation party with us. Juli Stover thanks for making us laugh & cry with your toast and for making sure that we were all fed. Hil & Elliott – thanks for always taking such great care of our girl while at “the loveliest village on the plains!” Nancy, Grant, Corye, Neil, Ellen & DB y’all are AUsome! Sweet Drew, thank you for coming to Miss Emily’s graduation party – we will miss your sweet face! Helen, thanks for turning around and bringing the crew back to be a part of this special night. Sydney Bruton thanks for capturing all of this weekend for us – you are amazingly talented!!! To all of Emily’s HSP & AU family – we love you all!!!
