I discovered today, while cleaning out the dumpster that I call a purse, a card that is very profound (for me at least). The writing is a quote by Venerable Matthew Talbot:
“Three things I cannot escape: the eye of God; the voice of conscience; the stroke of death. In company, guard your tongue. In your family, guard your temper. When alone guard your thoughts.”
The are days that I do pretty well with the above, and some days not so much. Today I am glad that I was reminded of such wisdom.
