Sneak Peek Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! As Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, we’ve already been able to order some fun, new products from the upcoming 2016 Annual Catalog. What a thrill! Today’s Blog Hop is filled with inspiring projects that feature sneak peeks of projects from the new catalog. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I decided to make a trio of cards to see if I could make three different cards using the same stamp set, the same DSP, the same ink and the rest of the usual suspects: fast fuse, glue dots, snail, bone folder, sponge dauber, stampin’ dimensionals, and my trusty big shot!

For my first card (see below) I used a Crumb Cake note card, Layering Love stamp set, Dapper Denim in-color ink , Affectionately Yours DSP, Flirty Flamingo ruched ribbon! Super easy, very basic… great when you need a card in a hurry but with a big presence. The Affectionately Yours DSP is awesome!

For my second card I again used a Crumb Cake note card, Layering Love stamp set, my favorite retiring Night of Navy seam binding, Affectionately Yours DSP – this time I picked a piece that features great shiny copper accents (I can’t wait to get my hands on the Copper Metallic thread that will go great with the Affectionately Yours DSP).

And my third and final card I went a little out of my comfort zone and actually cut the paper along the line of the Swirly Scribbles!!! I began with a piece of 5.5 x 8.5 (scored at 4 ¼) Flirty Flamingo cardstock . I used the Swirly Scribbles thinlits (lines & the smaller circular swirl) with the Affectionately Yours DSP and my trusty big shot. I used Tombow liquid adhesive to secure the lines and the swirls and Stampin’ dimensionals to adhere the sentiment! I accented the card with Gold Foil cardstock and used the small circular swirl and the negatives of that swirl to decorate the card along with a few gold sequins. And I finished it all off with small “hair cut” so to speak of the right side of the card (front & back) giving it an even “swirler” (that’s a word right – swirler?) feel.

Speaking of the sentiment I used the “live, laugh love” stamp from the Layering Love stamp set and stamped the words in Dapper Denim on either Whisper White or Crumb Cake and then cut around the words and adhered them with Stampin’ dimensionals.

Now that I have created a trio of new cards and a new words (or two) all that is left is to say….
